    Shipping:


    The listed selling prices you see on our website INCLUDE the cost of shipping. 

    There are no other charges whatsoever, except sales tax if you are ordering from the state of Illinois.

    Currently Savvy Decorator only ships to the United States.

    Prices quoted for shipping are to the lower 48 United States,
    call for quotes to Alaska and Hawaii.

    Savvy Decorator ships in one of five ways:

  • DHL
  • UPS
  • FedEx
  • Common Carrier
  • Smaller items that meet the UPS and FedEx guidelines are sent through these carriers, with the choice dependant on speed of delivery.

    Larger items are sent through common carrier, and delivered curbside.  In the home delivery and setup are available at additional cost via our White Glove Delivery service.  Contact customer service for more information and a quote 1-(877)-633-0297 (TOLL FREE). customerservice@savvydecorator.com

    Here's how the freight delivery of our larger items, such as recliners and theater seats, works: 

    1) Our freight carrier will pick up your order from our dock after it has been inspected by our quality control team.  The furniture will be banded and stretch wrapped to a pallet to insure safe transit.

    2) Depending on where you live, your order will take 3-5 business days in transit to a terminal close to your home.

    3) After your purchase arrives at the terminal, you will receive a phone call to set up an appointment for the final delivery to your curb.  Your purchase will not blind side you, and simply show up.  The delivery company will show up by an appointment that you schedule with them.  Please write down the delivery terminal's phone number when they call for your appointment.  Call the terminal if something unforseen should happen, and you are forced to cancel your appointment. 

    ***Please note that there will be a $110.00 charge to redeliver your purchase if you fail to be home to meet your delivery.  The freight company charges us this fee to redeliver, and we must pass this cost on to our customers.  To avoid this charge, you MUST contact the freight terminal BEFORE your delivery date to reschedule.

    ***If you cancel or refuse the delivery of your order for any reason after your purchase has shipped, you will be charged for both the actual cost of delivery to you, as well as the cost of return delivery back to our warehouse. 

    4) Our free standard delivery of our truck shipped items will arrive at your curb.  You will be required to unload your purchase from the truck and bring these items into your home.  You must provide help in getting your purchase unloaded, as the boxes are large and heavy.  Due to insurance liability, the driver is unable to assist you.  A hand truck or cart will make this job easier, as well.

    What if I don't like my purchase, how do you handle returns?
    Returns:
    Every item we sell is backed by the following guarantee:  If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply contact us for a Return Authorization and return the item to us within 30 days of purchase for an exchange or refund. The customer will be subject to a 20% re-stocking fee, and will also be responsible for the cost of both the shipping to you, as well as the return shipping. Custom furniture that has been made to order is NOT returnable.  To receive a Return Authorization, call 1-(877)-633-0297 (TOLL FREE) during our normal business hours (Monday - Friday 9am - 4pm Central Time).  Please see below for further return policy details, rules and restrictions.

    Please Follow These Steps for Making a Return:

    Returns must be accompanied by a sales receipt, and items must be returned in new condition with the original packaging and contents. The following rules also apply to all returns and exchanges:

    • The customer will be subject to a 20% re-stocking fee, and will also be responsible for both the cost of the shipping to you, as well as the cost of the return shipping. Custom furniture that has been made to order is NOT returnable.

    • Orders, once shipped, may not be cancelled.  If delivery is refused or not accepted, customer will be responsible for the actual cost of shipping to you, and the cost of the return shipping. A 20% re-stocking fee will also be deducted from any refund. 

    • Shipping and handling charges, if any, are not refundable.

    • Use a copy of your sale receipt as a packing slip.

    • Be sure to indicate your preference for an exchange or refund.

    • * For merchandise returns that have not been shipped prepaid, the return shipping cost will be deducted from your refund.

    • Refunds, less the re-stocking fee and any applicable shipping charges, will be posted to the customer's card within 30 days of the time of return.


    Damaged or Missing Merchandise

    We take every precaution to properly prepare your furniture for transit.  To help prevent damage, our shipping department will often times double-box your furniture.  This is in addition to the factory's already tough packaging.  We do not assess additional charges for double boxing.  Double-Boxing is one way we try to satisfy you by ensuring your furniture reaches it's destination unharmed.  In some cases even our best efforts are unsuccessful and your furniture arrives damaged.  This is usually due to the rigorous conditions that the packages go through during the hundreds and sometimes thousands of miles of transit.

    Minor Damage
    If your item suffers minor damage in transit, please know that replacement parts will be sent to you free of charge (including shipping).  We have carefully screened all our manufacturers to ensure they provide helpful assistance in identifying damaged or missing parts and provide a toll-free number for this service.  Consequently, the most efficient method for ordering additional parts is to call the manufacturer directly.  The manufacturer's toll-free number is located in the assembly instructions booklet.

    Severe Damage
    If the damage to your furniture is severe, refuse the shipment at the time of delivery.  Please contact Savvy Decorator to inform us of the refusal.  Once the items are returned to us, we will ship the replacement item(s). 

    You are not responsible for shipping charges on the second delivery.

    Please do not return furniture without contacting us first.

    What is the warranty on your furniture?
    Warranty:
    In addition to the 30 day satisfaction guarantee, we warranty the furniture we sell as follows:

    All finishes, parts, and components are warranted by www.SavvyDecorator.com to you, the consumer, for 1 year from the date of purchase from the retailer, to be free from manufacturing defects only.

    Under this limited warranty, www.SavvyDecorator.com's liability is limited to repair or, at its discretion, replacement during the warranty period. www.SavvyDecorator.com's first option is to supply replacement parts to remedy the manufacturer’s defect and if this is not possible, then the item may be replaced at our discretion. If minor repairs can correct to problem, then we may approve reasonable and customary labor rates, before repairs are made. Note: before any replacement parts or approval for repairs are to be issued, an authorized representative of www.SavvyDecorator.com must inspect the affected item. We will not be responsible for transportation costs to and from our warehouse in Illinois.

    The limited warranty provides coverage to the original purchaser only and covers only Manufacturer’s Defects when used in normal residential conditions. It does not apply to rental, business, commercial, institutional, or any other non-residential uses. This warranty, expressed or implied, does not apply to any condition or damage resulting from neglect, misuse or abuse, or any condition resulting from incorrect or inadequate maintenance, cleaning or care.

    This limited warranty does not cover any damage to or failure of the finish resulting from alcohol or water damage, exposure to sunlight, household humidity, or incorrect application of chemical treatment or any protective coating applied by the dealer or the consumer.

    If manufacturer’s defects are found, it is the consumer’s responsibility to contact www.SavvyDecorator.com immediately, and notify them of the problems.
